Are you looking for nature and adventure? Then Bjurholm, Sweden's smallest municipality, is the place for you! Our beautiful holiday home is situated right in the heart of Swedish nature, with amenities relatively close by.
The nearest (small) grocery store is just a 10-minute drive away, and only 5 km from the house, you'll find a small ski resort (Agnäsbacken) with 7 km of trails for cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding. Älgens Hus in Balsjö, the only moose farm in Europe, is 20 minutes (25 km) away.
The student city of Umeå, with an airport offering connections to Stockholm, Helsinki, and other destinations, is an hour's drive (60 km) away.
Why Bjurholm? Although we live in the Netherlands, Sweden in general and Bjurholm in particular have always been close to our hearts. Not only because we reunite with family and friends with every visit, but also because of the beautiful surroundings that offer so much beauty, both in summer and winter.
