Our cottage in Sandvik, Kalmar municipality, is located right by Kalmarsund with a view of the sea and Öland at the horizon. The sun rises on the northeast side of the garden and then wanders around the garden towards the back where you can enjoy the afternoon sun. The cottage is simple but holds the necessary facilities and the location is great. We rent weekly and keep the main cabin and guest cabin non pet and non smoking.
The cottage is 33 m2 with a small kitchen and dining area with windows overlooking Kalmarsund and Öland. One bedroom with a 120 cm bed. Living room with two two-seater sofas, coffee table and armchair. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Kitchen with oven, stove, fridge and freezer, toaster, coffee maker and household utensils.
Guest cottage of 7 m2 with sofa bed that can accommodate two people.
Large air mattress is available for two more people.
Balcony with outdoor furniture with dining table and comfortable sun loungers. Ball grill available.
The house is from 1960 and somewhat worn in places but everything works. The electricity is professionally reinstalled and grounded in the spring of 2024.
You bring your own sheets, towels and consumables. You are responsible for the cleaning. Vacuum cleaners and cleaning materials are available.
The nearest bathing jetty is only 100 meters away and there are several bathing jettys within 500 meters. The hiking trail Möreleden runs outside the house and Vita Sand with large sandy beach, fiber, kiosk and larger playground is about two kilometers away along Möreleden.
The area in Sandvik is quiet and it suitable for enjoying the proximity to the sea and nature. If you want to make excursions, Kalmar and Öland are nearby. It is about twenty kilometers to Kalmar and about thirty kilometers to Öland.
Bilberry picking is possible within a few hundred meters and for those who want to pick mushrooms, the Småland forest is about 20 kilometers inland.
